Campbell Clinic Hires Daniel Shumate as CFO

Lenexa, KA (Vocus) November 5, 2010

After conducting a nationwide retained search led by health leadership solutions firm B. E. Smith, Campbell Clinic in Germantown, Tenn., has hired Daniel Shumate to fill the role of chief financial officer. A seasoned healthcare executive with more than six years of senior management experience, Shumate will assume his new duties at Campbell Clinic in late November.


Daniel has extensive knowledge and experience with managing both healthcare finance and operational workflow processes, said George Hernandez, chief executive officer, Campbell Clinic. We look forward to utilizing his skills to take our organization to the next level.


Prior to joining Campbell Clinic, Shumate served as chief administrative officer with Louisiana Cardiology Associates in Baton Rouge, La., where he had executive leadership responsibility for financial policies and procedures, daily operations and workflow, and strategic growth planning for six clinics. Shumate is an associate of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Baton Rouge Medical Group Management Association. Shumate completed his masters of science in health administration and masters of business administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, Ala.


Campbell Clinic provides comprehensive orthopaedic services, including sports medicine, pediatric orthopaedics, joint replacement, orthopaedic oncology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and surgery of the hand, hip, foot, shoulder and spine. Campbell Clinic has a clinic and ambulatory surgery center on the Germantown campus, as well as three other clinic locations in Collierville, Tenn.; Southaven, Miss.; and at the Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.
